QA Team Lead
About The Position
About the role:
A young and dynamic hi-tech company is seeking a QA Team Lead to join our growing Tech-Ops team. In this role, you will take ownership of the QA process, lead testing activities across multiple projects, and guide a team of QA professionals to ensure high-quality product releases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and passionate about improving quality processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, plans, and scenarios based on product requirements.
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple environments.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with developers, customer service managers, and solution architects during sprint planning and reviews.
- Write and maintain QA documentation, including:
- Test case repositories
- Test run logs
- Release validation checklists
- Use Python scripts for basic tasks such as:
- Data validation
- Log analysis
- Test data generation
- Participate in design reviews to provide a QA perspective and ensure testability.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing for web applications.
- At least 1 year of experience as a QA team lead.
- Strong ability to analyze product requirements and convert them into clear, comprehensive test cases.
- Working knowledge of Python for simple scripting or support tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach to testing.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AWS services
- Familiarity with Apache Spark
- Knowledge of REST API
- Experience with Postgres databases
- Understanding of Redis
- Comfortable in a Linux environment
