If you google “Most important documents in history,” nearly every list will include the United States’ Declaration of Independence. The second paragraph begins

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness

The Declaration of Independence has gone on to inspire citizens and governments around the world. At the time, Democracy was being practiced in only a handful of places. Today, according to Pew Research Center, 142 countries are either full or partial democracies. And at the heart of democracy lies the idea that all men are created equal.

Of course, it’s taken over two-hundred years for the world to accept that “all men” includes women, Black people, and immigrants, as well as other minorities. You could argue that some of the Founding Fathers who signed that document believed “all men” only meant all men like them, but that doesn’t take away from the document, or the moment.

All Men Are Created Equal

Equality for all shouldn’t be limited to race or gender. We work with companies all around the world, and we’re happy to see our clients employing members of the LGBT community, physically disabled individuals, and members of different religions and sects. Some companies have opened their doors to individuals with special needs who offer their talents.

But we need to go further.

With the world slowly reopening for business, we need to recognize employees for what they offer to a company, and not be distracted by their lifestyle choices, piercings, or tattoos that the generation before ours may have deemed inappropriate for an office setting.

Our Quicklizard platform is capable of reaching a price determination without prejudice. It collects the facts—market prices, environmental issues, and corporate goals—and goes to work. The platform is colorblind in its analysis; it doesn’t factor in demographic data of a competitor. In the end, it simply delivers the best price for reaching corporate goals.

We need to view employees, job candidates, and customers with the same unbiased eye.
